As an industry leader devoted to education, training, and credentialing in equine-assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) recognizes empirical research as a critical focus for the growth and sustainability of EAAT.
In alignment with the PATH Intl. mission and vision to promote safety and optimal outcomes in EAAT for individuals with special needs, as well as to act as a resource and advocate for EAAT and the equines in this work, it is the position of PATH Intl. to:
- Support the efforts of researchers to advance EAAT
- Assist PATH Intl. Member Centers to be knowledgeable partners in academic and outcomes-based research
- Facilitate dialogue and communication among the research community and other organizations or individuals interested in that research
- Support efforts for the dissemination and sharing of published research • Partner with institutions and individuals conducting research when appropriate
