PATH Intl. Standards for Certification and Accreditation

The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) Standards for Certification and Accreditation details voluntary standards for the equine-assisted services (EAS) industry, precautions and contraindications to therapeutic riding, a glossary of industry terms and sample forms.

From the organization’s inception, members have focused on the establishment of industry guidelines for the practice and teaching of EAS, to ensure that our centers and instructors maintain the safest, most ethical and most effective programs possible for the thousands of people participating in EAS.

Members may download a free copy from the PATH Intl. store. For help, please call the PATH International office at (800) 369-7433.

Standards One Per Page

Many centers find it helpful before a site visit to have the standards on single pages. This allows them to make notes about their progress or where they think they need work. PATH Intl. provides the Standards Manual in a one-standard-per-page in an easy-to-use format.

Standards Forms

The Standards Guide provides sample forms that centers may use to design their own. These forms offer information that should be collected on a similar form, e.g., medical forms, participant information, etc. This section of the Standards Manual includes the Change of Information forms for Member Centers and Premier Accredited Centers.

Member Connection

PATH Intl. Member Connection is the new and improved platform for – you guessed it – member connection! PATH Intl. members can connect with each other virtually on a dedicated platform. Ask questions about PATH Intl. Standards, exchange ideas about programming, share your center’s success stories, and so much more! This will also be a place to access members-only content and benefits.

Strides Magazine

PATH Intl. Strides Magazine is the award-winning publication of PATH Intl. with instructive and uplifting articles and information written with professionals and participants in mind.
