Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor Skills Clinic
Join us at the PATH Intl. CTRI® Skills Clinic and take the next step in your therapeutic riding certification journey!
The PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) Skills Clinic is an optional three-day event that provides specialized training for therapeutic riding instructors interested in certification through PATH Intl. This clinic was developed to allow PATH Intl. CTRI® applicants to have the opportunity to strengthen their hands-on knowledge of therapeutic riding instruction.
PATH Intl. assembled a team of subject matter experts to design this clinic geared towards aspiring instructors, taking them beyond the basics and helping to develop a strong PATH Intl. riding instructor mindset. This clinic allows those preparing for certification the opportunity to practice and spend hands-on time with equines and other participants to grow their knowledge and skills. There are no prerequisites to this clinic, but basic equine, riding instruction and criteria knowledge as it relates to a PATH Intl. CTRI® will be helpful.
This clinic will be taught by some of the most experienced instructors in the field of equine-assisted services and will give participants an opportunity to see what is current in the field. Each event will be taught by two PATH Intl. Faculty members and will provide each participant with the chance to work with several equines in different scenarios.
This educational event is not required to be completed in order to pursue PATH Intl. CTRI® certification but is highly recommended to ensure that incoming certification applicants have consistent baseline knowledge for instructing therapeutic riding lessons.
Participants must attend all three days to receive credit for attending the clinic. After the event has taken place and attendance has been reported to PATH Intl., attendees will receive an emailed certificate of completion documenting their attendance.
