Julie Broadway

julie broadwayJulie has been involved with and had a passion for horses since she was child in North Carolina.

She holds a double major from the University of North Carolina, an MBA from Weems Graduate School at Meredith College and an Advanced Non-Profit Leadership Certificate from Duke University.

In 2013, she received her commission as a Certified Association Executive (CAE) from the American Society of Association Executives.

Julie's career spans 30 years of leadership, ranging from major for-profit corporations, start-up firms and management consulting—focusing on nonprofits and small businesses. She served as the Executive Director of the American Morgan Horse Association and American Morgan Horse Educational Charitable Trust 2007-2016 and is currently the President of the American Horse Council. She is a member of the Junior League, Society of Non-Profits, American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), and Association of Female Executives. She is President of the Board of Trustees for PATH Intl.

Julie and her husband, Tony, reside in Washington, DC, along with their Pembroke Welsh Corgis and Morgan horses. When not working you will find Julie gardening, riding her Morgan, or volunteering.

My experience with PATH International has enriched my life beyond words, and I firmly believe that people benefit from horses spiritually, emotionally, and/or physically. As Winston Churchill said, “There is something about the outside of the horse that is good for the inside of man."
